This sunscreen contains multiple antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E, ferulic acid, argan oil, microencapsulated melanin) and an emollient moisturizer to lock in hydration and strengthen the skin’s outermost layer. The addition of iron oxides gives this sunscreen a light tint that mimics many skin tones.
While both UVA and UVB rays are harmful to the skin, many sunscreens effectively protect only against UVB (responsible for most sun burning.) Because this sunscreen is broad-spectrum, it also protects against UVA, which is known to penetrate cloud and glass cover and contributes to the formation of skin cancers and premature aging. Shield is 100% chemical-free to promote skin health and boost overall protection.

Apply to face after use of cleanser, treatment product, and moisturizer. Reapply as needed throughout the day for full UV protection.
